Construction of this RTC/CLV CMAR project began on May 20th 2013 with a 270 calendar day duration. The total GMP for this contract was $7.2 Million and was one of the first CMAR projects to be done in the Downtown Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements Area. This project involves the reconstruction of roadway and sidewalk on 1st Street from Bridger Avenue to Hoover and on Garces Avenue from Main Street to 6th Street. Project scope included street improvements, driveway modifications, curb, gutter, and sidewalk reconstruction, roadway milling and overlay, construction of new pavement, storm drain improvements, utility relocations, streetlight upgrades, ITS conduit and fiber optic cable, waterline relocations, landscaping, new signing and striping, and complete Traffic Signal modifications at three (3) intersections.

Las Vegas Paving was the prime contractor for this project and self-performed approximately 50% of the work including removals, grading, paving, concrete, traffic control, survey and overall project management on the project.

Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas and adjacent to the Fremont Street Experience, this project also involves a great deal of public outreach. Las Vegas Paving will be diligently working one on one with many casinos and other stake holders to provide continual access to the adjacent businesses.
